Well... My brand new FS2000 just arrived. WOW, it's just as awesome as I was hoping for. I picked up 1000rds of ammo on the way home from work, so I'm gonna shoot it this weekend. Now, I know you guys have already seen tons of pics of FS200's right out of the box but I'm gonna show you some more.![]()
This particular rifle is classed as non-restricted in Canada because it has a Hi-desertdog 18.7" barrel on it. I had the importer install it and do all the paperwork to get it reclassified for me.
If I left the original barrel on it, then it would be classified Restricted, and I would only be allowed to shoot it at a CFO (Chief Firearm Officer) approved firing range. No having fun in the woods!
There are also other restrictions that go along with the Restricted classification, but this way I don't have to worry about that.
Oh, one last thing. The Hi-desertdog barrel didn't come with a flash hider. If anyone knows of a good one for the FS2000 please let me know.
Here, I've installed the UrbanERT Sling.
And a quick view through the optical sight.

Congrats on your purchase!
Not to insult your FS2000 knowledge or anything, but assuming youre a newcomer to all things FS, here is a beginners guide that I put together. It outlines basic info related to the FS2000 and issues/notable things you may want to familiarize yourself with.
