Talking It's Been a Long Road: Before and After.

Hard to believe it is the same FS2000.

I recently stripped the Duracoat from the upper (a true pain in the ass, and it never fully came clean even though I did a shoddy job prepping the weapon - some serious credit is due to Duracoat) and redid it in flat black. Right now it is just Krylon as it will take a week or two for the Duracoat black to come in the mail.

I will update the "after" pic in this thread when ADD strikes and I decide to change it again

The Elcan is very bulky and heavy, but at the same time it is a high quality, tough optic. The glass is crystal clear and I am a fan of the heftiness of the elevation adjustment knob. Seems like a small detail but it makes a difference.

If I were choosing between the Elcan and an ACOG the ACOG would win hands down, but this particular Elcan came with a $200 price tag, so it wasn't hard to say yes to it. Besides, the weight doesn't affect the FS2K the way it would an AR - it maintains that nice, center balance the way it is positioned.

    It turned out very nice.

$200 Elcan? Okay, who did you rob?

I was just carrying around my FS2000, slung in front, like I always do, when I met up with the seller. For some reason he started acting awfully scared, and when I jokingly offered $200 he immediately accepted.

I think it's because I've been working out so much lately.
