Luckily, I've not had that experience again, making me think it was operator error. Just ran through about 500 rounds this weekend (75 gr Partizen and 55 g PMJ and no problems with the rounds.
One of the biggest thing I learned is to figure out which round I like and the rifle likes and stick with it. Changing brands = changing zero. I hope that different lots within the same manufacturer doesnt perceptibly alter the zero.

I don't know about rifle, but I had a case of S&B 9mm last year that shot very accurately for my FNP-9. Got a half case a few months ago of the same stuff and it's all over the place for the most part.
