Hmm, is that the expected result of a slamfire with a bullpup? Maybe replace the plastic toilet cover with something a little more eye-protective?Originally Posted by SgtStrykerUSMC43
From what I have read, the FS2000 KB, as rare as it is, is actually less dangerous than some other guns. Apparently the guns shell absorbs a lot of the blast, and the toilet cover doesnt just blow off
of course I wouldnt want to be the test subject....
Considering the fact that when an FAL experiences a out of battery firing, the magazine gets blown out of the weapon along with the dust cover being ejected skyward, I would confidently state that the little potty lid opens quick, fast, and in a hurry, along with some 'extras' thrown into the mix just for fun.![]()
If the gun is not operating as expected, please contact the FNH USA customer service dept. and have the people who build them take a look at it. This service is offered at no cost to the owner of the weapon.![]()

My FS2000 was an early model and came with the heavier firing pin. With certain ammo with light primers it would double before it got the lighter firing pin and the captive spring. There was no blowing up or out of battery firing, only occasional doubling with certain ammo.
As I said, the captive spring and lighter firing pin together was overkill for this problem and made rendered the gun unable to reliably detonate milsurp ammo. After the removal of the captive spring it never had a problem detonating any milsurp ammo nor did it ever double.
If a modern mil style semiautogun will not function reliably with modern Western made milsurp ammo, to me it is nothing better than a very expensive range toy and is not something that I would trust to defend my life. My FS2000 is something that I would trust to defend my life.
I just removed the spring last night, and will be hitting the range this weekend. I hope, and assume, that my light strikes will be a thing of the past
