    What ammo are you using?

Were you using the factory mag?

Did you clean and lube the rifle prior to firing?

I used new Remington UMC,.223, 55 grain fmj.

Jammed with the 10 round factory mag and I tried a new mag I got with my rock river arms (.green follower) it still jammed

I dissasemled and cleaned the whole thing and applied some lube to the bolt assembly on metal parts still jammed.

I guess some guys talked to FNH, and they said the gun will shoot .223 all day long. What's the deal.

I didn't mess with the gas setting. Just shot it the way it came from the factory. Do you think I should increase the gas setting ? Is there a certain position the dial should be in so I can tell if I'm on the right setting. I read about how to adjust the gas in the manual, but it's not in front of me at this moment.

The gas setting you need for normal shooting is the "vertical" setting, which exposes the larger hole.

It's hard to say what the problem might be... If I had to guess, I'd say it's either a problem with the case guide (the big goofy white thing), or with your extractor. When you remove the bolt, I'd suggest making sure the extractor and the little switch on the right side that controls it are working fine.

Is the case going upright behind, or in front of the white case guide?

QB 45, My e-mail address is bkfrioni@comcast.net. Send me your e-mail address and I'll send you a picture of the jam.

It is facing upright getting caught in front (in the channel)of the case guide. I have the weapon dissambled and will check out the extractor stuff.

OK, I sent you an email. These are great rifles, I hate to see one with problems.

    AKA switch.

The weapon sounds anemic. Firmly planted in shoulder, gas regulator set to correct position, good quality commercial ammo.

Proper lube? Assembled correctly? Gas rings on piston with staggered gaps?

    Did you disassemble and reassemble?

    Just wondering.
