Did you know the C-more red dot sight fits and lines up perfectly under the sight cover on the Standard model. Maybe this is common knowledge but I did not figure it out until this weekend. I received the C-More red dot during the purchase of my first FS2000 as a promo item and originally installed it on the rail with back up sights. It hit me this weekend to remove my after-market back up sights and use the sight cover, it fits perfectly. I could not believe it. The cover has back up sights if I need them and now the sight has the additional protection against drops, bumps, exposure to rain/snow, dust and debris, glare as it completely shielded from most ambient light and the dot pops as it is enclosed in a dark space. They should sell this combo as an option it makes such a great durable match with the FS2000.
The only drawback I can see is having to remove the cover to turn it on but after doing so a few times I have come to learn this takes just a few seconds to be back in business and if there is no time put the cover back on the sight works great on it's own. Anyway, I have taken a lot of great info from the forum for quite some time and am happy to provide something back............
I attempted to post some pics but as this is my first post......we'll see.

Thanks for the tip! I was wondering if there was a red-dot that would work under the shroud. Presently I'm using a Spectre DR on my Standard model and I feel it was made for this gun.
Damn, I've got one of those sights and I didn't even think to give it a try. I'm gonna stick it on right now. Thanks!
Has there been an update on the use of optics and or scopes that work under there? I've been looking at that sightmark qd variable red dots.
Only @ matter of time!
I'd love too know if there is anything out there too. The 1.6 x just isn't quite enough for my (poor) eyes. Couple that with a red dot and fit it all under the hood would be excellent

Has there been any new scouting reports on this. I have looked but so far still looking to Trijicon to fll the void. And/or make a scope with same magnification just illuminate the hairs. Its a fine reticle I just need something for when a target is dark or the aiming zone is dark.
Only @ matter of time!
Thank you for definitively answering this once and for all.
Yes, thanks for the answer. I've asked this before and although I did get some answers, most weren't positive about this setup.
