I pretty much gave a formal presentation including a quick disassebly to the crowd that gathered and addressed most all the points you mentioned. Many in the group that gathered made assumptions just based on seeing the FS2000, as people tend to do when presented with something new. Some didn't believe it was a legal rifle, some thought it was shooting 5.7mm, one heard stripping it was tough, and others thought it was going to be heavy.
I had done my research (thanks all), and after my spiel most were very enthusiastic. There was one that was still anti 5.56 even after we discussed 1:7 twist with its ability to stabilize heavier grain and that civilians can use JHP. Another really enjoyed it, but was a SHTF AR person who just couldn't accept it due to it having springs and plastic (he also hated my Prius, but that's another story). One guy said he was going to go home and see if there were any of the military overruns available online.
Anyway, it was a great time.

I've seen some of the hostile attitude towards not just the FS2000 but bullpups in general. I've never had an issue with my FS2000 and find it extremely reliable. The FS2000 does have some quirks but every gun has its own quirks. The biggest issue with regards to the hostile attitudes particularly on the internet forums, involves ego and arrogance. Sometimes its hard for some people to actually adjust to a different manual of arms and when they struggle with the adjustment they tend to blame the platform. One of my personal favorite lines I've heard about the FS2000 is "Its a not a serious weapon." Please. A "serious weapon" is one that works when you squeeze the trigger. I have fed my FS2000 military and civilian ammo with no issues whatsoever which is more than I can say for some high dollar AR15s I've seen.
A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
