Sorry about repeating the misinformation about taking the stock apart. According to another post FS2KSTD is correct.

But everything does come apart so easy when taking the stock halves apart. It's just getting it back together that's an issue.![]()
I found that not to be the case. The dissassembly interlock spring (for lack of part name) would pop off just as I was getting the two halves together. It was much easier installing the magazine lock and release button after the stock halves were back together. This was not reverse of dissassembly.
