So I had just got my gun yesterday and went to the range. I enjoyed shooting it and was pretty spot on all my shots with grouping, love the gun. So after setting my rifle up on the elevated rack while cleaning up my area, someone tripped and knocked the stand and knocked a few of the rifles off including mine. I picked it up and did a once over and just saw a little scratched and everything seemed to be in order. I didn't really see what happened I turned around and saw the aftermath and a few guys helping the old man up. But after going to clean the gun later I realized the gun fell and hit the rear sight on the ground and now it is a little wobbly and doesn't sit up as straight. Needless to say the rear sight worked but it was my least favorite thing about the gun. I do have a EO Tech XPS2-2 coming in the mail.
But I am going to see the gun smith when he is in tuesday to see if there is anything he can do about the rear sight, it shouldn't be too bad should it?

a pic would help.
It is not your SCAR till the sticker is off!!
Not sure if you can really see it well, but you can see how it doesn't sit flat now and when up it doesn't really sit straight up.

Something got bent, whether it's the sight itself or the pin got budged, I can't tell. The smith should be able to fix it or get a replacement.

FWIW, a replacement rear sight assembly can be had for a semi reasonable price. I personally like the factory BUIS.
You can replace it yourself if you are willing to do the stock take down show here.
The rear sight can be ordered as a complete assembly from FNH USA or maybe a forum member. I found FNH to be very helpful on the phone.
The forum has a parts list at this post. The prices are accurate as of Feb 1st.
Read the entire thread before attempting to disassemble the stock.
Edit: It is said that you don't need to do the stock take down. Continue reading...

I have a complete rear sight assembly here if you need it and want to replace the busted one.
07/02 SOT Manufacturer, Suppressors, NFA Firearms, and everything else COOL!
There is no reason to take apart the stock to replace the rear sight assembly ... it can be done in 5 minutes, as is.
Pay very close attention to the assembly when taking it apart ... even take a few pictures during the process if you don't feel confident doing the job.
