Hi all,
Just finished up ordering my new FS2000 tactical, and I'm incredibly psyched. I do have a question regarding optics. Now that I've purchased such a beautiful platform, I need to outfit it with something to look through. Are there any recommendations regarding preferable optics for the weapon? I am considering an Eotech device, but I am trying to work within a $300 budget.
Thanks!
A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
The Aimpoint PRO is available for ~$400 right now. Just outside of your budget, but one of the best non-magnified optics out there. If you are LE or Mil you can save a few bucks on one, too. Shoot me a PM for details.
A few of us here run the Primary Arms Aimpoint clones and they are ~$100 and they also sell magnifiers for ~$75. Mine has been a great optic so far and has held zero through 5 range trips and being tossed around in a rifle back in my trunk. Otherwise it depends if you want magnified, powered, etc. Burris makes a nice new option that I recommended to someone else. I have no experience with it, but its in your price range, compact, and available from 1x-5x magnification.

Thanks for the recommendations all! I will be posting an unboxing album as soon as the new hardware arrives. I know that you all experienced this before, but for me, this will be like Christmas morning.
I will be sure to check out the Burris and Aimpoint scopes as well- they both appear to offer high quality at a decent price point. Many thanks!
I swapped my Primary Arms M3 clone from my M&P 15-22 to my FS2000 for a range session a few weeks ago. I was quite pleased with how well it works. I would not dare compare it to serious glass. But, gosh... for the money... you simply can't go wrong with PA. Or at least until you can afford the "good stuff."
Welcome to FNF.
This will keep you under budget.

This was my first option before ultimately going with an EOTech set-up.

I can second all of the Primary Arms recommendations as well. I have owned four of their optics and have never had an issue, and those guys have amazing customer service. I emailed them asking for a completely wacky set of nuts and bolts to have spares for some of the optics I have bought from them, and they shipped out next day, everything, for free. When I had an issue with UPS losing one of them in the truck, they were about to just flat out send me a new one, no question asked (the UPS driver found it the next morning stuck down by the wheel well in the back). They were just super cool about everything on each occasion.
In addition to all that, the optics are the absolute best bang for the buck - you get maybe 90-95% of the quality for only 15-20% of the price. For range use, even very heavy range use, they are essentially perfect.
