Will there be a "preban" type of OREA 892 tool, and will it be worth more than the "post-ban" type?
It seems like yours doesn't have enough taper on the pointy side or where it should be. I'm not sure about why its that way but mine is a smaller point too than what yours looks like.
I too have a non tapered tool. a 9000 code purchased at the end of 2012 NIB. Has been bugging me, glad i noticed this thread.
the 892 tool that came with my fs2k looks just like what is in the picture with the "pointed" end
This tread forced me to open my tool kit from its beautiful wrapping and of course my 9000code has an untapered tool... Now I'm wondering if the $100 kit has an unfinished tool does that mean the finished kit is $200? Haha looks like I'll be contacting FNH next week. Thanks for the catch.
My 892 tool from my 9000 code is also without the tapered pointed end. Not really an issue since I have plenty of punches, but I am curious to hear the final verdict of why this is.
Just got my FS 2000, it also has 892 tool without the tapered end..
its firemanbill not fireman ill.
