The punch end of my OREA 982 tool broke. It turns out that the pin punch from an AK-47 cleaning kit works for disassembling the bolt.
I even got my AK punch to wedge into the OREA 892 handle. The 2nd photo shows the OREA/AK punch next to the original broken piece.
If you have a non-tapered OREA tool, I suppose it's not necessary to try to fit a new piece into the original handle. I had to since my broken punch was no longer long enough to reach the gas piston.

Well called FN and they now say that it's not supposed to be tapered and they have not updated the manual. That I got the right tool already. Oh well I will go with their advice I suppose even though it seems really weird to redesign the tool and not update the manual when it clearly shows as being used.
