My Hi Power is ex Royal Air Force, and in very good condition. I cheated slightly and put a Bar Sto barrel in it and because I found that the service issue Brownings used to bite the web between thumb and forefinger I fitted Pachmayrs. Its not the most accurate pistol but it is very reliable, more so than my 1911A1.
dourdave, I think you mean a BDM, don't you? I'm not an expert but I haven't heard of a BPM. I have a BDM and it's very thin as yours is. It was actually made in the US.

You are correct.
The Browning BDM was developed in 1991 by the Browning Arms Company, and unlike Browning's (FN Herstal) P-35 Hi-Power model, was manufactured only in North America.
Thanks a lot for posting the link to the BPM article. If I ever saw it i forgot about it. Enjoyed reading it as a tinhorn like me can learn a lot from people who bnow what they're talking about. The decocker feature is like my FN HP-DAs; maybe I'll try to pick a PBM up to go with my BDM.
Best regards.

sorry for the duplication- I didn't see my original post and didn't think it made it into the forum.
