    Refinished Hi-Powers

Hello, I'm looking for suggestions on having a Hi-Power I picked up refinished. Basically a stored pistol corroded after moisture got into the case in a high humidity state (FL). It is fairly light and mostly in areas where bluing was worn away from use, backstrap, trigger, forward edges of slide, and muzzle area. I love blued HP's but this one needs to get repaired & protected so I'm thinking of maybe getting fancy with the refinish.

Just looking for any suggestions or examples you'all might have.

You might want to look into Cerakote and getting it refinished with that

The finish looks quite good. Check out some of the pics http://cerakote.net/

These guys do great work and they are about to do a Hi-Power for me.

They've done several guns for me and I've always been pleased with the work.

They do three different chrome finishes that hold up well in the Florida climate, they will also do a black chrome finish.

The spray-on bake-on ones make me a bit nervous as I have done powder coating myself and have seen some of it's limits over time. Plating makes me more comfy but.....? Can't decide. Anyone else?

I do dig the black chromes offered by some and think one would look nice on a Hi-Power but wouldn't mind seeing some results. I'm going to be selling some weapons soon so I'll have some ready cash to spend on this project.

Don Williams is building my P35, I decided on a hard black finish
for the build, hard as hard chrome, good matte black color.

Parkerizing is a good black finish too, its pretty durable and holds oil like
    a sponge
