    FN BAR model D A1

this is a great light MG, it works with FAL mags, the barrelchange is done in 3 seconds. Field stripping in 55 seconds. great design of the master.

    Wow, that is something else.

I am disappointed in my FNforum brothers though. They overlooked an obvious question that beggs an answer.

Do the FN BAR mags work in an FNAR?

Everytime I see a BAR I think of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow rat-a-tat-tattin' away on G-Men! With 30-06 of course.

Nice piece of hardware there paco ... as usual.

No they don't. They are standard metric FAL magazines. That's why I didn't pose the question.

I'm disappointed in you Ick, YOU out of all the members, should have known that. Just for that you are to return to the re-education camp immediately!

I have both versions. The Model D in 30 -06 and the modified in 308.

The Mod D A1 is far out the best, the sights are better, lighter recoil, longer barrel life...
Compared with the US made BAR, this one is a winner, ergonomics, barrelchange, fieldstripping...
I'll see i have some more pictures somewhere.
prices, you would start crying if i say they go less then 1000 USD here...

    Paco,

    I HATE you. (just kidding)

You are so LUCKY! $1000 U.S. is so cheap. I wondered how you were able to afford such fine weapons. I though maybe you work for FN, or you are a stock broker or investment banker.

You have one of the finest collections of weapons I've seen. Do you have a CAL? If you do, please take some pictures and share. It's been years since I had one, and I miss it.

    Thank you.

yes i have some FN CAL. Why did you sell it. It is the most elegant FN rifle made! I got some 3 types, also 2 FNC prototypes and some FNC's to. I'm really FNC addicted.

the 2 rifles on top are "one of a kind" prototypes. They are between the old FN CAL and the newer FN FNC. They were made in 75-76. The one in the middle has served for the NATO trials and was given to a FN salesman when he retired.
The lower FNC is a preproduction rifle, serial 63.
