hahaha, watched this video when I was first considering the FNX. Sure would like to have one of those in the truck bed or out front of the house.

Reminds me of the sentry guns from the movie Aliens.

    Evolution in progress.

FN will soon debut their "Heavy Autonomous Remotely Deployable" unit, or H.A.R.D. unit in Afghanistan and do away with ground troops altogether. Personally, I'm looking forward to this day, as I'm sure the t-ban is.

Here's a concept drawing of the unit and I hear the field ready units will be deployed next Summer.

    I can't wait!

Picture follows (Classified) so don't spread it around, kay? Good.

    I like the M3Ps.

We switched over to these toward the end of '09 for our OH-58s.

We test fired one of these from the ground last year while our unit was in Afghanistan. While we didn't have the fancy powered mount, it was impressive none the less.

The local Taliban didn't much care for it, though. They threw some IDF back our way.

    Ah ha!

I finally found some pics of when we ground fired an M3P in Afghanistan last year:

Here's one of our birds with an M3P mounted:
