Sorry if this info is posted somewhere on this site but I can't find it through searching.
I am trying to get a value on my FNC for insurance purposes and can't find any for sale to base a price on.
I have owned my Fn-FNC since 1985 and have fired less that 200 rds with it through the years.
The rifle is in it's original inner and outer boxes with the manual original FN mag.
On the inner styrofoam box it has a yellow factory sticker on it marking it as an FNC standard but the FN factory guys wrote "competition" and circled it beside the printed standard.
It was imported by Aeromarine and I bought it at Chuck's Firearms in Buckhead (Atlanta GA).
The rifle is perfect in every way, it is in the same brand new condition I got it in when I purchased it, no scratches, no damage, no rust just a time capsule safe queen. I have taken it out periodically through the years just to wipe it down and run a cotton patch down the barrel with a little hoppes on it. The rifle has not been fired since 1990.
I can't tell you why I never put more rds down range with it other that I had a class III rifle and a couple others that I always took to the range with my department.
What is it worth? I had a gunshop here tell me it might be worth $1200 or $1500 to the "right" person and they wanted to sell it for me on their consignment rack. I though it would be worth more, that's why I am asking the experts here.
I want to thank you for reading my post and I'd appreciate any help you may be able to give.
Thank You in advance.
Charles
If you have the original box, papers, etc. it can fetch $2500.00, so for insurance purposes I would set its value there.![]()
