Cheap quadrail for the PS90 $30 ish

Ok, I know some of you love the original look of the PS90 with the long barrel extruding out the front,and I respect your opinion. But I am not one of them. So rather than this thread going back and forth, lets just agree to disagree.

If anybody had already done this Please chime in. I have found these for as low as $22 (hongkong) but most are $40 ish. They are aluminum but are made for an Airsoft and the review site directly below states that they will work for a PS90/p90 true gun. The reviews are great for these.

This site has an amazing step by step install directions , but theyre for an airsoft.

I have done some research on the subject and extensively compared the $699 http://magazineparts.com/productDisplay.php?id=QR version with the $23 version. http://www.airsoftpost.com/product_i...ducts_id=30379 Believe it or not, there is not a whole hell of a lot of difference between the two. Both Aluminum, both attach similarly. The only 2 problems I can foresee is:
1.)The cirlce piece that fits over the barrel, pictured below, might not fit over the flash hider and might need some minor modding or even removal of the barrel.


2.) The rails on both sides might need to be trimmed as they could interfere with the chambering mechanism on both sides. See pic below

Yep, thats it. Looks. I love the gun But can't stand that long skinny ugly piece of metal sticking out the front. I don't want to pony up the cash to make it a sbr, so for $30 I can change the look. I am also thinking of mounting a hand grip, laser and maybe a light on it.

This will work on the PS90 but you need to do some dremeling so it wont interfear with the barrel movement or touch the barrel AT ALL!

I got the tools and some skill, so I am pretty sure this won't be too much work. I did hear about not restricting the natural movement of the barrel. My problem is I am leary about ordering this from over seas. I can get it for $23 plus about $8 shipping. Not too shabby. I am still shopping around for local american stores. Most of them are like $60 ish.

Get a Gemtech and change the shape. I think it looks better with a suppressor on it.

Yep thats on my list also. i am still looking at pictures of the ventilated barrel shroud and the gem tech black one (without the hundreds of holes). I can get the gem tech for around $104 and the shroud for $60 ish. I just like the look of the quad rail, and worse case scenerio, if I hate it I can recycle the rails on it for my normal upper ps90 rails.

With the Quad you can mount a laser under the barrel so it doesn't have the paralax to deal with. You also must put the forward pistol grip on it and the Tac light! Much smoother ergonomics!!!

I was watching a 10.3" barrel on GB for $275. But I think it has to be shipped to a ffl, even though it doesn't say it. I figure a shroud $60 and a quad rail $30 would give me a nice look for under $100.
