For anyone who has a Tri-rail...

What material is the top rail constructed from? Magazineparts.com says that the side ones are plastic, so I'm ordering their extended replacement side rails, but I want to know if I need to buy a replacement top rail too. Thanks!

I don't think U can take the top rail off of the tri rail. Can U?

It should be aluminum, like any aftermarket ones.

    Top rail is not removable.
Its all one piece with the receiver on my TR.
And yes, the side rails are plastic.

    .
That's what I thought. I have a standard w/ my own rail - but the local shop has a tri rail - and I was pretty sure that it is part of the receiver...
