who has a laser they are really happy with?

i recently added a cmore arw to my ps90, then the promoted pawn rails. i researched lights for a while, and ended up with an insight procyon. now, i have been thinking about a laser for the other side, maybe zeroed for short distance. well, i actually have purchased two different ones, and they seem to be pretty crappy! i am just gonna give them away, and rethink it.

SO! my question is: does anyone have a laser (mounted on the side) that works great? do i just need to forget the whole laser deal? i would like something as small as possible, with a switch on its body (without a tape switch).

i have read a bunch of reviews online, and the otg new gen red lasers with the picatinny mount, and both switches for 30 bucks seem to get good reviews. this seems pretty inexpensive, but i have handled one at a gun show, and it looked pretty nice, and i liked the enclosed "rubber-button" switch.

any advice, pics, or user-info is appreciated!

here is the c-more, and procyon. i am really happy with both of them. i would just like to find a good-quality laser also!

I am getting two lasers in the mail soon. One monday, Tactical Laser Sight by UTG(red), then another from HKmountain(hongkong) i nabout 2 weeks. It is "A.C.M. Green Laser JG-10". Both got pretty good reviews by buyers. I will post my thoughts after I have shot a few clips through it. My 2 main concerns are, it doesn't break and it holds zero.

If you're willing to spend the money, the Viridian X5 is a great device. I have other posts on here with pics of the device on the PS90 and pics of the laser in action.

Remember that the green laser was made for airsoft. I don't think it will hold zero under the recoil of a real gun.

Let us know how it works out.

thanks for the info! well, my second one actually arrived today, and it seems much better than the other one. i got the first one at a gun show from ga optics, and they said it was an osprey. it is in a plain black box. it looks like a solid piece, but the point of aim wouldn't come within 5 feet of the point of impact, and the switch seems kinda vague, sometimes going off after a shot. they were selling them for 100.00, but they said i could have it for 80.00, since it was the first one they had sold.

i found the second one on glocktalk for 28.00 shipped! it is in an orange box, with a manufacturer of "fieldpoint". it actually has instructions, and it uses one larger battery instead of the two small ones in the osprey. other than that, it is very similar. BUT! the switch works much better, with a positive "CLICK" when you push it to on or off. it is too late to go to the range today, but i quickly zeroed it to the same point as the c-more in the length of my basement (40-ish feet). the adjustments were as smooth as silk, and it didn't go very far off center for either adjustment. maybe this one will be okay!

i really like the design of these. they are very compact, and close to the receiver. i will cross my fingers and hope for the best til i can get a chance to fire a few rounds and see how it acts!

well, i went to another gunshow today, and took the defective osprey back. they were very nice about warrantying it, but we went through three more, and all three had some kind of problem. one had a bad switch, and all three failed to adjust horizontally. they were pretty well disenchanted with them by the time we went through all this. they ended up letting me trade for the standard AIM red laser. she said they had sold a load of them, and had no problems. i have assembled it, and i think i like it. it has the 4 little set-screws, where you loosen one side, and tighten the other to adjust it. i guess it will be a little aggravating to adjust it initially, but man, it seems like it would hold zero through some pretty violent beating and banging.

i think these new compact lasers are a cool design, but it looks like they are gonna have to work out some bugs before they are ready for prime-time!

I saw the osprey displays at my gun show in ohio yesterday. They looked really cool but reminded me of ncstar, just another marketing scheme for some chinese knockoff junk.

In my opinion if you go cheap(which I try to do) you have to search through a plile of crap to find the hidden gem(the one that works). Most of the vendors at the gun show sell the cheap unreliable ones because the profit margins are huge. I saw the same one I ordered from HongKong priced twice as much. I should get mine next week and will write a short review on them. But I am not expecting much. You know the old saying"hope for the best but prepare for the worst".
