So I'm a fairly new owner of the PS90 and have a few questions
I would like to possibly shorten the barrel like a P90 and have no idea where to start. or where to even get the muzzle break like it
Now i have seen on some other threads about SBR'ing? i have no idea what that is.
So if anyone can help please do.
Thanks
Eric

Don't do anything until you have BATFE approved paperwork or you'll get a trip to the pokey (in the exit) real quick.
SBR: Short barreled rifle.
PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH
07/02 SOT Manufacturer, Suppressors, NFA Firearms, and everything else COOL!
sooooo how hard is that to install? and would it be easy to switch back to other barrels if i wanted to?
Also how bad would it effect range going from 16 inch to 10.3
one more question, not to be a pest
are these barrels good? i mean they arent FN factory, but is it better than taking the barrel i have now and cutting it off?
Not hard at all. It's so easy a caveman could do it.Originally Posted by The New Guy 13

Depends. After the gun has been fired it makes it hard to remove the FH, so it may or may not be easy.Originally Posted by The New Guy 13
Not at all. The gun is around a 200 yard weapon with either a 16" or 10.3" barrel. Nothing to worry about.Originally Posted by The New Guy 13
The CMMG barrels are the same as the factory P90 barrels. Cutting the factory lined barrel can be done but FN and most others suggest that you don't do it.Originally Posted by The New Guy 13
One last item as Sarge has already pointed out. Do not do a barrel swap without an approved Form 1 in your possession. Even removal of the factory blind pin might place the gun in the SBR status and place you in jail.
Thanks alot for your help.
now can I buy the barrel without the form and just not put it on?
or do i have to already have the form before i put a barrel on
You can buy the barrel prior to getting the approved form.Originally Posted by The New Guy 13
Removing the pin with the short barrel in your possession without the approved form is about 10 years in Federal lockup and 250,000 dollar fine.
And you have to have the approved form prior to starting the conversion, or see penalty above.![]()
So if I read your post correctly, you are saying that it is legal and acceptable for me to own a SBR barrel as long as I leave the blind pin in on my regular barrel? I thought there was a law on intent to SBR?Originally Posted by jhs27275
If so I may have a purchase here REAL soon!
You must have the PS90 confused with the AR-15.Originally Posted by s4mur41h4x0r

As long as the blind pin has not been tampered with you can not easily convert the PS90 to a SBR.
The AR on the other hand is just push two pins and pop on another upper.
We've covered this a few times on here before.![]()
If you need any help going through the Form 1 process let me know.Originally Posted by s4mur41h4x0r

Ah that makes sense, that is probably the law I was thinking of!Originally Posted by jhs27275

Thanks and if I need help with the form 1, I will let you know.
I know this question has also been asked but I couldn't find a good answer. on a PS90 will SBR'ing the rifle lead to the bullets having drastically different trajectories? or is it still as accurate as always?
I THINK it will alter the trajectories but not impact accuracy? opinions?![]()
