Went to pick up my holster and went ahead and purchased a laser and remote. I can get the laser about $30 cheaper through the internet and will do so for my second one but I just couldn't resist!!!! Here's the UNI-G installed (I shoot a rifle left handed)

I had an over powered green laser on mine when I first got my PS90 in 2006 - it was TOO bright and the laser was dangerous, so I got rid of it.

CUrious to hear what your thoughts on that green unimax is.

AT 7 yards or less - does it hurt your eyes to look at the dot on the wall?

How far away can you see it in direct sunlight? The one I had was visible over 100 yards, but it was somewhere over a 5mW.

Be careful of the beam reflecting on anything even remotely glossy. I had the beam on the one I had reflect back and cross my eyes just from turning the gun around in a room, and having the green beam reflect off of the side of a red vase that had a glossy surface. Green is more dangerous to the eye than red.

Yes, it's the 10". I'll certainly be careful with the "bounce back/reflections". I was didn't notice the laser hurting my eyes and I was focusing on my interior white wall at about 12 feet. But then again, I was looking through the lense of my Aimpoint H-1. Guess maybe that matters.

I was going to order another UNI-G for my Five Seven.....I was told that green was easier to see. While back I went to a factory that made night sights. They had red, green, yellow, orange, you name it. I couldn't decide on the color and so they put me in a totally dark room with all the different colored sights. As hard as I could, I could NOT see the red sights. I'm not color blind but I just couldn't see red night sights. Thought that might be the case with the laser, who knows.

I have no idea how to sight in my H-1 and Ung-G but I'll take the instructions with me to the range in a few weeks and figure it all out.

Thanks for all the comments, suggestions and advice.

The red laser is visible indoors and at night for a long distance. Outside in a cloudy day, you can see it a bit. In the direct sunlight, though, it's hard to see a red laser past 7 yards.

But, I've had many red lasers over the years. I am satisfied with them - especially after my first entry into the green laser world. Admittedly, mine was much higher powered than that Unimax green likely is...

My red Unimax is sighted in at 7 yards (I did it at my indoor range). I wanted that distance for household defense purposes - if I didn't want to shoulder the gun to eye level, or if I don't have time to do so.

I am trying to remember - but at 15 yards, the POI was about 3 inches higher than the laser (which is sighted at 7 yards)
