    I still want one.

There was a thread on AR15.com about them. I bumped it a few months back. The afcom seems to be down at the moment or I'd go check there for updates.

Good question... this is the one that used 10/22 magazines, right?
"I wonder if my old goal is even worthwhile...."

As of a 3 week ago phone call to one of the reps, I found out the PS90 conversion is on the back log. They own the patent for 5.7 to 22lr and are looking for a manufacture to do the making of it so keep the costs down, etc, etc. Another problem is that FN only uses their own patents and won't use other company's. Even though these companies are effectively 2 or so hours or less away, we may never see these companies hand shake.

When I was at the NRA convention, I got that all above. I do hope that CMMG is crawling around reading people's interest in this. If nothing else, training purposes of gov't divisions for cost of savings...

When I spoke with them at the SHOT Show last year (and was able to shoot video of the unit), they needed to see real interest to make it worthwhile in moving forward. I don't know if they have seen broad enough interest. If nothing is said before then, I plan to follow up with them at the next one in January.

I hope to call CMMG tomorrow, want to ask them about the PS90 short barrel, 1 in 9 twist. I bought one last year for my SBR, they told me then they had lots of them. Didn't take long to sell them out. Would be nice to have a spare barrel or two, don't want 1 in 7 twist.

I'll show them some interest in this conversion kit too.

I suggest people call them and inquire about the kit and 1 in 9 twist barrels!!!

Only way they are going to know if people want them is to call and tell them.

I sure hope so jeep gunner... It is the manufacturing costs that kept getting repeated to me from the cmmg rep at NRA show. Disappointing...

I think lots of items would not be made due to manufacturing costs. Costs are offset by sales.

With CNC machining equipment I think the costs are lowered to a point. Tool up the machine put metal block in part comes out in a reasonable time.

Think how long it took before CNC machines were around. How much metal was scraped do to a mistake while making an item?

I understand they don't want to make something if they woundn't make money. It is after all good only for the PS90, so limited market, since not everyone that owns one would buy the kit.

Something to be said about "build it and they will come."

If CMMG won't make it, someone else could. Maybe Sarge could make it.

    Just sayin'

    Edit: spelling.

We can always hope that someone comes forward. I actually asked if I could have one conversion commisioned for myself and the rep waffled on it about costs.

Another thing that I have failed to look into is the magazine. I do remember them talking about the high cap would have like a curve or something, but it would have to go left or right, so ambidextricity suffers. If anyone would tool up for this, I am not sure what CMMG would want to do about the mag setup... 10 rounds is ok, but all of us want MORE!

Also dropped the FN 57 conversion upper on them that there would be an untapped market there. I like 5.7, but 22lr is alot cheaper...
