Speaking of the FSE extended cocking/charging handle...

Got it...or had it...well, sort of...

    Please allow me to 'splain...

At some point during my last range session I lost one of them. I thought I had them installed properly and wrenched down as much as I could (especially considering how small the bolt head is) but it apparently backed off enough to allow it to slide off, never to be seen again.

I was kind of surprised actually. It slides very snugly (I HATE that word, but it does describe the fit quite well) over the stocker and I thought the set screw/bolt would be fine.

Lesson(s) learned; check before and after every range session and blue (242) Loc-Tite should prevent the set screw from backing out. They're relatively inexpensive so having a spare in the carrying case isn't a bad idea...

I'm a little rough on my guns; they're tools, not safe queens, so I'm thinking while I was ambi-training and practicing transitions it popped off. I had Oakley gloves on which reduce your tactile feel a bit and by the time I realized it I looked down on the ground and laughed...since even if it was at my feet I likely wouldn't be able to see it with all the brass, etc. on the ground.

Oh well, fairly inexpensive fix and lesson learned. No way an indictment of the product, just something to keep an eye on...

I've also seen some referred to as parkerized...from RPB Industries. Anyone have these? With the FSE you do get two, but a lot of you seem to use just one on the non carry side anyway. Any thoughts on the other brand?

Never heard of them so I checked it out...it appears to be a very close copy of the FSE, and considering that you only get one for $35, I'd go with the FSE and have two.

And that RPB website looks like something out of the early 90's...jeesh!

I had pretty much the same thoughts. Everyone seems happy with the FSE versions....and the two for one seems like a great deal. Not too many reports of them breaking...

    Thanks for the link.

That looks like the same FSE made item, but they are only sending you one.

    Buy them directly from FSE.
