I noticed that on the hammer pack, that four of the five removable pins measure .157 inches but the fifth pin (actually number 3 located at the bottom center of the pack) that holds the front and rear sears is larger and measures at .1585 inches. While the four pins are easily removed, the fifth (3rd) pin is rather obstinate and refuses to come out. I suspect that with this oversized pin, it was pressed in and has to be pressed out.
Anyone have any success with this pin removal and what did you use to remove it as the recommended punch does not work.
I suspect that this is one of the two mods that FN did to the pack to prevent modifications.![]()

A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
Did you check the armorers manual for suggestions?
Roger Dodger. It says use a punch but all the pins are the same size in the manual. You don't really need a punch because they just press in and out but the pin ( 551(3) ) is oversized and I suspect it was pressed in so that the pack can not be disassembled without some type of press....

Maybe Sarge can tell us, but I think you're right about the reason.
Don't try to drive it out. There's a blind pin it it that keeps in from being removed.

I see the blind pin now. Sneaky little bastards.....
Damn, now I can't replace the sear spring to ease the trigger pull until I figure out how to get the blind pin out.
