My PS90 is done :) maybe duracoat?

I have the CMMG top and side rails. The front quad is from echo6 airsoft. that was a pain to install let me tell ya, I need to get new rails or trim the side ones see how they sit so close to the slide?.. The laser is the NCstar red/green, sight is the eotech 552, ert sling.

I would love to do digicam on it but dont know one step of how to even start that... Ideas?

Nice looking. I am basically doing the same thing to mine. I have been shopping around for all the stuff. I am holding off on the eotech for now. I still like the accuracy of my stock sight.

1.) Where did you get your quad and how much?
2.) If you get time I would appreciate a little more info or hints on the front quad install.

On the Quadrail you need to remove about 3 slots on the back just up to where it angles.
Also, I might move the front sling attachment somewhere else.
Looks like it might put upward pressure on the barrel via the locking screw in the Quadrail.
I have the Magparts Quadrail on one of my PS90s and there is a locking screw at the bottom of the collar.
If yours is the same as mine then I would change the front sling attachment elsewhere.
Oh and don't locktite the locking screw, trust me on this as you will never be able to remove the quadrail without...battle damage

    Thanks for the heads up
    2 more questions:
1.) did the barrel ring fit over the flashider?
2.) was it worth it? It looks pretty sweet!!

you put the ring on then flash hider. and the barrel ring had to visit the drill press to fit. the hole wouldnt fit over the barrel on the front. The side screws screw into these aluminum blocks, i had to shave those down as well. other than that it wasnt bad. You do get what you pay for. If i could buy the mag parts one i would. i have heard so much bad stuff about that place besides it shows out of stock.. i wish someone reliable would make one. but this one isnt bad for $60

On the mag parts one everything slide right through just like the Gemtec fake surpressor.
    Very easy bolt on.

It was when it was only around $200 when they first came out.
But I wouldn't pay the prices they sell for today.

    Digicam

it is not all that hard to digitize your rifle. first thing you need is a cheap air brush and some cans of air or a small compressor. you dont need anything fancy for the airbrush. i dont recommend using the standard desert colors that duracoat incudes in their kit, they are a little off. so order the rifle digital peel and spray. then pick 3 to 4 colors that you like for your camo. while you are waiting for your stuff to come in.......take apart your rifle. not as hard as it might seem. unless you are going to paint the metal, which i dont recommend with dura coat. if you want to paint the metal i recommend cerakote as a base layer, it wont chip but it does require that you sandblast the parts you intend to coat with something like aluminum oxide. if you are going plastic only feild strip your weapon and put upper reciever, butt pad and trigger pack aside as you will not need them. lay weapon on side so that you can see the allen screw and not the nut. remove all of them and keep track of which when where and thread the nuts onto the screws so to keep track of them. pull the two peaces apart. remove the triger and linkage, remove ejection port cover and spring, remove mag release. leave the two peaces in half for now and store all the internals in a safe place. i find it helps to take pictures, if you have any questions post them, i have taken mine apart many times. once you get your paint pick the color you want the least of to show when you are done and spray both halves outside surfaces fully, to include the insiide of the mag well and the mating surfaces of the two halves. let that dry, with dura coat that usually means 2 weeks but if you aren't paitent like me that means two hours, jsut be careful not to drag anything hard across the paint, put the two halves back together using as few of the screws needed to pull both halves together tightly. apply the peel and spray stencils where you want them, make sure you cover the holes that you put screws and nuts in so that they dont get painted. spray the next color you want the least of and fully cover the entire weapon. let dry for an hour then repeat until you have used each color of your paint. then let that dry for at least 10 hours. go back and carfully remove all the stencils. you will need to remove all the adhesive residue from the surface of the weapon with GooGone and some paper towels, you can get it at most stores(wal-mart). use the female stencils, the ones that are still stuck on the paper, and use those to add color to any spots you feel dont have enough pattern. again let dry for at least 10 hours then remove stencils and clean with googone. i highly recommend usuing the duraclear in mat to even out the final product. i have in the past mixed in a little color to the clear to change the hue and kinda even out the pattern to make it look more like cloth. after that let it dry for a few hours and reassemble.

i will be doing my FS2000 over the next few days so i will take pictures of how i do it so you can use them if that helps. the PS90 is much easier to take apart than the FS2000.

    pre clear coat

    standard digital camo colors

same rifle after mixing a little tan into the clear, you can see that it slightly tinted the black that i had masket on the scope but the numbers can still be seen through it
