The Days of $48 Hammer Packs are Long Gone

These two items were originally ordered on Oct 29th, 2014. I have spoken with FN several times since then to get an update and was always told they are on back order.

Well, these came in the mail today:

What I will tell you is that the price of $48 hammer packs are long gone.

These are Gen 3 Hammer Packs.

Midwest Gun Works has them priced a bit on the low side.....

I believe I have given up on those, I became reserved to the fact that if anything ever breaks I will have to make the component as a one off.
Even the most zealous collector would have to be out on a limb ..... to break anything . Since the scarcity occurred I'm down to 1 spare pack for all 6 of my collections. If fact I seem to be in some kind of snowblind stupor... ( constantly snow-blowing ) and behind the breaking news ( MGW @ $158 )!!!! I wasn't even aware of that.

    I guess the FS2K hoard I have wasn't a bad deal at $159 ( LOL ) comparatively speaking.

    Thank you for the update.

No! But when you could pick one up for $48.00 to $75.00 it was nice to have a spare backup just in case!

    Lucky Dog....... !!!!
    L-Dog.jpeg

    I can remember that.... and thinking " $75 ????.... Blasphemy ".... ! & Too much for my blood !
Look how times have changed ! Talk about sticking my foot in my mouth ?????? there was a time when I thought I had too many packs floating around. ( more blasphemy !!! )

MacTX : "are hammer packs something that actually do fail frequently? "
To add to expand on LESTERS answer of " No "..... ( If I may ? )
FNH rates the P90 packs for 90,000 cycles. I would venture to say that assuming the PS packs will see less than a extreme high cyclic rate and more favorable user conditions ( ???? ) they will probably last longer, which I may add other than some business acquaintances that I know .... I have never heard of many owners that actually achieved a total round count of 8k-10k. I have somewhere around that number in one of my Kave mules without any issues what so ever.

    Additionally:
The only packs that I have heard of failures on, are in " business rental weapons " @ approx 100,000 cycles. ( * Barring 1 exception * )

    The exception is :
Owners whom start to permanently modify their packs with alterations that they do not have a full understanding of .... and or someone whom believes they can totally disassemble all the components. ( IE: removing the DBL hook sear which is blind pinned for specific safety reasons ) Unfortunately .... they often break one or many components from which there is NO return.

Just for the record, MKS does not condone any modifications to any trigger pack that prohibits the return to OEM condition.
The use of Man Kave spare / replacement parts with any other companies products or services or enhancements or adjustments is not recommended ( period).

Merry Christmas from the Kave !
( "If Christmas is your thing ") had to borrow that phrase !

    mjk1..... OUT !
