I am hopefully getting this black ps90 usg model. I know nothing about these guns and have been reading as much as I can tonight. My first question is how good is the factory sight? if it sucks... can you remove it and put a rail on it so I could run an aimpoint or eotech? How much is that sight worth? The gun is brand new, so it would be in new condition also.
another question... can you reload this cartridge? are there alot of bullet choices or just that blue tipped 40 grain one?
how reliable are these things? do they ever jam? always feed properly?
are they comfortable to hold? feel natural?
Is there a way to make the sights closer to the barrel? I saw some thread on a px90 or something and it looked like the sights were alot closer... Or is that a bad idea because then you couldnt have good cheek weld?
Thanks for the help and sorry for all the new questions.
Dont shoot where your target is and wont be, but where he aint and will be.
Well, I hate to help a Chevy guy, but...![]()
The sight isn't the greatest, but there is an option called a Rem T3 that makes the factory sight a lot better than factory.
You can reload, I think there are a couple/few bullet choices, but I'm not 100% sure on this - I don't reload.
Mine has always been 100% reliable, never an issue. Can't say as I've heard of too many issues with other people either.
I think it's a very ergonomic weapon, but some think it's awkward.
Don't know about this last one.

Yep, get it, shoot it, then decide!! Don't over think it especially before you get the gun.
The first things I would get are: a sling, 3 or more mags, ammo and brass catcher.
1.) sling: I got the urban ert sling from the sponsor on here
http://fnforum.net/extended-ps90-sli...le-t18051.html
2.) Mags: 50rnd $26 plus shipping(good site)

3.) Ammo: factory can be found for $700ish per 2000rnds just search the ps90 accessory thread on here. Elite ammunition (our sponsor) has some unique rounds you might be interested in.

4.) Brass Catcher: Trust me, you will definately want one. $40

I think the factory site is fine and better than most for plinking. It is accurate to 40yds(all I have tried). It really depends on what your going to use it for. to replace the site your probably talking big bucks. $90 to $120 for the top rail mount, and then the cost of the new optics.

My only real complaint of the stock site is the field of view is very small. It is accurate but there are definately better sites out there.

I'll add to the chorus of trying it first with the sight. I think the sight is fine, and the way it is mounted I'd be concerned with aftermarket sights sitting too high.
I've shot the PS90 @ 100 yards, and the sight is spot on.
As to field of view, it is quite small, but try shooitng with both eyes open and you should do fine.
Get the REM T3, it turns a good sight into a great sight, it is down right cheap compared to buying a new optic. And the company selling it makes them here in the US, and he is a sponsor here.
