Hello, I was hoping that someone could help me, I just used the search button but couldn't find what i was looking for. I just purchased a used od green ps90 with the quad rail installed (round ring mounted to barrel to hold the rail in place), I took it apart for cleaning and after i removed the quad rail i noticed that the barrel moves from side to side about a 1/16 of an inch. When i installed the rail back on there is no movement. Is this normal? I am waiting for a call back from fn, Thanks for your help.
There should be some play in the barrel, not much. What you are experiencing sounds normal to me.
Thank you for the reply.
It's the way the gun is designed to work. It's normal.
Got to make a sticky about this.![]()

It needs to move a little to help with the blowback action. It was in a post sometime ago, year or two, if my failing memory serves me... uh what was I talking about?![]()

I might be able to help:
I bought a quad rail and installed it on my PS90. I shot it before I put the quad rail on it the accuracy was amazing. I installed the quad rail and took it to the range with not so good results. at 25yds my ps90, with quad, shot 6" to the right of center target. Now the temp was 20 degrees with a mild 10mph wind from behind me. I then took off the quad rail went back to the range, 30 degrees with a 5mph cross wind. It shot dead on.
I have deduced 1 of 3 things.
1.) quad rail kept the barrel from its natural movement
2.) temp and wind caused it
3.) I had put on a side rail next to the stock optic. the screws could have gone in too far and pushed the optics off a little.
I will do some more research this weekend and get back to you. I would suggest testing it with the quad rail on and if you aren't getting dead center, then try it without![]()
