My apologies, too. I didn't mean to come across as cross...
IIRC, the early models were a sort of charcoal color. Actually, the current ones are kind of charcoal too. It might be that they were all the same color but that photos made them look different.
From what i understand everything on paper says that the OD green would be a better choice in combat, however me being a tactical bench warmer I picked up a black one.
i would imagine that the price is due to demand, alot of people like the look of the black ones and when the ps90 was first released the OD green was more common, so stores charged more for the black ones. It could also be that stores remember this kept the prices so that they could get a bit more out of some people.
Next year once eligible for another discount I could see myself getting another one perhaps in green. The black on I have now will be outfitted up. The ODG model will remain stock. I'll probably just do the REM 3- T3B mod to the factory sight. I do like the fact that the EOTech sits higher and I don't have to tilt my head as much.
I never thought about just switching stocks.............![]()

The closest we get to rioting natural disaster is when UNC Chapel Hill wins a game and destroys down town.
Anyway I too share the dream or a FDE PS90. I like the way this looks:
(keep your panties on it's an airsoft gun)
Have to admit I never thought about the tactical implications of stock color. The black looked the coolest so I bought it and payed extra.
I paid only $1,197 for my black PS90 w/ 5 free magazines from CDNN, so it wasn't really a matter of comparing prices for different colors. I chose black simply because I like the look of it better. That being said, if they were offering OD for $100 less I probably would have chosen that because I'm really not that concerned about the color. In an end of the world scenario I think I would have a lot more to worry about than the color of my gun.
