...this last week and tells me that he is going to get rid of some firearms that really just don't do it for him anymore. He then ask me if I am still hot on having a little PS90...black. I told him I was and he tells he wants to sell his NIB & unfired PS90. (I guess he bought it in a package deal with a 5-7 a couple of years ago.) He said his wife love the 5-7 so it won't be going anywhere but the PS90 needs to go.
Knowing what they go for & that it was NIB unfired, I told him I don't think I could really afford it at the moment. He then says, asks me if $1000...plus FOUR extra mags...delivered...pay me when you can sounds? I said, "You are a true saint...how on earth can I refuse that! Heck yeah, I want it." :P
Anyway, he his dropping it off at my house in a couple of weeks...he really meant "delivered". (He lives four hours away.) Anyway, I'm really looking forward to this rifle as they have intrigued me for several years. Incidentally I don't know which model it is exactly except that it is black...don't care for this price.
So...I have already been checking into getting it SBR'ed as I feel I can more easily cost-justify doing this eventually as my first SBR because of the deal I'm getting. I am just unsure if I want to swap the barrel or just cut & thread it. Hmmm...
Anyway, it seems like a pretty decent deal to me and definitely the right time to get one.
Cheers,
TOU
I would drive four hours to PICK UP that deal.![]()

great! you will love it.
Awesome steal!! WOW!! You are going to love this Rifle!
If it has the factory sight on it you might be interested in this illuminator for it. The REM T3.www.m1bullpup.com
He held on to it for a couple of years and didn't fire it?![]()
Glad he passed it on to you! Now take it to the range!!![]()
Good deal!
I'll STRONGLY second the REM T3 if your PS90 has the sight for it. I have that, the FSE (I think?) enlarged charging handles, AMP Engineering aluminum trigger and Vest Guy sling and it makes a great weapon system that much better...
I also had DocDigital lay on a digicam paint job, which is super sexy.
Enjoy, you're gonna dig it!
Thx all for the kind words...I really am so looking forward to it & very appreciative to my great friend who is making it possible. One thing for sure that I will be changing as soon as feasible is SBR'ing it. No offense to anyone, but that IMHO is the way this rifle was meant to be. The long barrel seems only to be a PITA in regards to the intended use that this rifle as designed around. (Yeah I realize it was also meant to be FA...but I can't do much about that.) On the long barrel, its not like you get to take advantage of this with sight radius etc. anyway. I just want this mainly for SD. While I may try it on some ground squirrels and cottontails for fun, when I want to seriously varmint, I will grab many of my varmint bolt action rifles.
Good call...I was already checking out the AMP trigger & enlarged charging handles but will definitely check out sling and he REM T3 if needed. On the charging handles, my preference is to keep this rifle as slim as possible. But...I gotta say after playing with one pretty extensively the other day...I think this is going to be a mandatory for me to change at least one "handle" (tab) ASAP. The only thing that I'm unsure of, is if I want to do one or both sides?!Originally Posted by Tyler Durden

I know...bizarre eh?! Especially when you consider how much he's shot his 5-7. I'm kinda glad though as it should make it possibly easier to remove the old barrel. On that, I'm trying to decide if I want to cut it down or swap barrels completely in SBR'ing it.Originally Posted by Toreador
Definitely NOTHING wrong with SBR'ing a PS90, and I'd agree since that's the way the weapon was designed to be to begin with...I'm not exactly ready to do it to mine but I'd be the last person to discourage it.
I have the enlarged charging handles on both sides of mine if for no other reason than I typically train with my weapons ambidextrously. The PS90 is quite slim (especially compared to "The Tuna" AKA, the FS2000) and I didn't find it hanging up or snagging on anything.
My feelings exactly and besides the tax stamp ($$$), time & hassle I see no downside to doing it to this rifle like I do with AR's & AK's. (JMHO) On that note though, I also plan to eventually SBR my Beretta Storm and Daewoo DR-200. I plan on leaving my OEM Folder VZ-58 as is. (Yeah...I have a history of out of the norm firearms. With the deal I got, I feel I can't justify not doing finally.I'm not exactly ready to do it to mine but I'd be the last person to discourage it.![]()
Good to know & really good points. I think I will order them...as soon as I pay for the rifle..I have the enlarged charging handles on both sides of mine if for no other reason than I typically train with my weapons ambidextrously. ....as they are so easily changed back if I ever feel the need. I doubt I will though as they are REALLY slim OEM. Its not like I have monster hands or anything either...but found them a bit tough.
