Ok, other thought is... When you load your mags to 50 using ss197, see how it feels. Then try the reloads. If they are harder, then the laquor might be off on a few thus creating friction or they might be slightly larger than factory ammo due to the resizing. I noticed this with my reloads and it became progressive harder to load but fired alright (30 rnd mags though). So the 50 might make it an issue with friction and preasures...

Gonrcng: What is the COAL of the cartridges.
COAL is 1.581" Case is trimmed to 1.135" All the brass as of yesterday was reloaded for the second time (total of 3 including factory). Even if it is a result of a reloaded round , the fact that it will FTE on the first but fire the remaining fine regardless if the magazine is full or only has 5 rounds in it is whats throwing me for a loop.

I saw a thread somewhere that indicated that depending on the dies used for reloading, the shoulder is pushed out slightly and due to the loading of the magazine with these very very minor bulges, it could cause the first round to be off just a tad enough to cause you the problem. They showed this by lining up fifty rounds of reloaded against 50 rounds of factory.

It appears to be a feed problem but it could still be ammo related.

    Nice hammer pack BTW.

Good to know. I will play with it some more and see how often it happens with the factory ammo.

What is good about this hammer pack over the different generations? Is this an older pack?

Gonrcng if you are still having problems please do the test that I discribed , because HK SD9 Tactical is mistaken the ps90 can fire out of battery . I seated a primer in an empty case chambered it and pulled the charging handle back about an 1/8 inch and pulled the trigger and the primer went off so it can fire out of battery ( my ps90 was new when I bought it and I haven,t done anything but clean and lube the trigger pack). As this can be a dangerous situation with any cartridge but more so with such a high presser round. If you found the problem I am curios about what it was.

HK, did you notice the bulge at the case neck on Gonrcng's last pic of his reloaded shell with the red tip? Would that not jam going in the chamber & not extracting properly. It looks as though the bullet is seated pretty deep. Just iffin!

The charging handle on the PS90 can be pulled back .101 inches before the moving parts group even begins to move. Are you sure that you moved the MPG to fire it "out of battery" or did you just move the charging handle?

I had the magazine off and could see a portion of the case so the bolt was out of battery.
