Anyone who is looking for details to the front sear geometry is looking for a particular reason and it's not for the sake of satisfying curiosity. Leave the pack alone and unless you're an 07/02 SOT, it would be wise to leave the blind pin alone as well.

425 posts and counting in a PS90 hammer pack thread?

18th post covered it and 4 years later, some just keep on keeping on...

My interest is indeed curiosity....but yeah..good advice to leave the pack alone....even putting in aluminum hammer seems to be risky.

Seems like you folks have already mucked around with your packs....some of us PS90 pack newbies are just as curious: PS90 Hammer Pack Disassembly

I just read through all 40+ pages of this thread, and have googled (a little bit)and couldnt find anything to answer my question. I had just received a ps90 the other day and it had a different hammer pack than any of the ones I've seen on here. What differentiates it is a dark grey block at the rear of the pack. Also the trigger connection rod is part of the hammer pack. (If this is something normal than Please delete this comment) here are a few pics of what I have. It looks like a gen 3 by color and options.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    thanks in advance.

It looks as if FN has taken some more steps to make sure the semi-auto Gen 3 pack stays semi-auto.

Is the PS new, used, how did you get it?

Would love to get my hands on one of those to examine it. Buy by the looks and re-design of the hammer pack, I would suspect that this is the long awaited Gen 4 hammer pack that FN has had to redesign to make sure that the hammer pack stays semi-auto only as JHS has indicated.

I would like to see more pictures of the interior of the hammer pack if possible. I want to see down inside the pack a clear shot of the drop safety area. I would also like to see a clear picture of the primary sear (the sear with the two ears that catches the hammer) specifically, the bottom of the sear. Drop the hammer and pull the sear forward then take a picture of the bottom of the sear where the return spring is at. I'd like to see the entire bottom of the sear. I also would like you to take the dimension of the trigger rod, how long it is from the front to where it sits into the rear sear (the black sear that releases the hammer). A picture of the full trigger rod and is the trigger rod able to be removed from the rear sear. And any other pictures that you can provide of inside the hammer pack from various angles so that I can see if any other changes have been made.

I have long suspected that FN has been required to 're-design' the hammer pack to ensure that it is not convertible from semi to auto fire, which would indeed make this a Gen 4 pack that we have been waiting for for about 2.5 years now. Spare hammer packs have been on back order for that amount of time......

Thanks for your posting this new generation pack. It is the first one I have seen. Please.....more pictures please......

I feel like a kid in a candy store........
