Interesting that there is a Gen2.1. So... Only change on Gen2.1 is the removal of a notch on the Primary(Front) Sear?

That portion of the sear was changed to ensure that the return spring remained engaged.

There are two schools of thought on the hammer pack generations. One is based on color and capabilities and the other in capabilities only. I fall in the latter group.

Gen 1 - Multiple colors primary sear has a post for return spring engagement.
Gen 2 - Multiple colors primary sear has a redesigned ramp for the retrun spring engagement.
Gen 3 - Multiple colors hammer is notched higher primary sear has a ramp for the return spring engagement.
Gen 4 - Multiple colors regular or Gen 3 hammer, primary sear ramp for return sprinb, but auto sear removed.

The above is based on capabilities of the hammer pack only instead of the colors and capabilities changes dictating the Gen pack. This is why there is a Gen 2.1 in the later scheme because of color change and primary sear change to the ramp design.

^^Ahhh....OK. Anyone have pics of the redesigned ramp of the Forward Sear's return spring? I found pics of the post/notch....but not the redesigned ramp.

    Generally the colors:

1 (black trigger pack; black hammer; OD front sear)
    2 (gray; black; OD)- early
    2.1 (gray; black; gray)- later
    2.2 (gray; black; gray- modified)
3 (gray; gray- higher cut notch; gray- modified)
4 (gray; black- higher cut notch; gray- modified; no auto sear)

Anyone who is looking for details to the front sear geometry is looking for a particular reason and it's not for the sake of satisfying curiosity. Leave the pack alone and unless you're an 07/02 SOT, it would be wise to leave the blind pin alone as well.

425 posts and counting in a PS90 hammer pack thread?

My interest is indeed curiosity....but yeah..good advice to leave the pack alone....even putting in aluminum hammer seems to be risky.

Seems like you folks have already mucked around with your packs....some of us PS90 pack newbies are just as curious: PS90 Hammer Pack Disassembly
