So, I finally got my SCAR back from FNH. On the online repair status it states they replaced the "Hammer" and the "Sear". However, per your post there is no sear. Any ideas?

Trigger.
Unless they [FN] refer to the disconnector as a sear.

FYI, the grip screw in the 16s is metric. M6 size with 1.0 thread pitch. I was able to use the 40 mm length screw along with some trimming in my grip to obtain a much cleaner trigger.

Just make sure the trigger resets and you can dry-fire the weapon after the reset. Leaving the screw too long will cause a problem with the FCG working properly.
