Did they tell you why they're including a Hogue grip, and why it's milled?
I did the same thing and it cost me all of $2.50 for the 6 X 50mm cap screw, and my time at the bench grinder.
Anyway, when are you sending it, and what's the turn around time?

The Hogue grip is just part of their package and I wasn't going to complain as I wanted one (and tried it) but am not good enough to mill it out myself. The Hogue grip will not work without being milled.
Sending it first thing in the morning and they said 3-4 week turnaround with it being the Holiday season and all.May God grant us the wisdom to discover the right, the will to choose it, and the strength to make it endure.

3-4 weeks?! Where are they located, Siberia?!
In this case, 2+2=7...
Something is amiss. It took me all of 1 hour to do what I did and I'm doing the work without a machine shop.
If they trash a part, or misplace so much as a retainer plate, they'll be hard pressed to replace it.

I have heard that the quality of work is excellent but sometimes communication is lacking ... signs of a good but busy shop in my experience. Originally Posted by jhs27275
