Paid $1995 NIB. New SCAR, just with the factory blems around the screws.
Honestly, I think I can live with it. I bought this gun to shoot and that's what SCARS are made for.
One thing I noticed (and was happy about) was that the FDE is WAY less yellowish than I thought. It's actually light brown and seems to blend outdoors.
Here are some pics of the blems. Looks like dirt or oil:
What do you guys think? I thought I wanted a black so I am thinking of selling it to get the black. But this one isn't bad for sub $2K.
Shoot the crap out of it. That's what they are meant for.
Mine has over 10k downrange now.

Excellent purchase my friend.![]()
Above all, we must realize that no arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women. It is a weapon our adversaries in today's world do not have. -R.R.
Could you please get those pics close to the right size?![]()

Sorry Mr. LEO.
I was trying to show the blems. But rules are rules, so I'll resize them to keep from ruining your evening.
For the price, those looks wouldn't bother me at all. I also agree that the color of the scar blends very well outside, doesn't stick out as bad as black.
It's funny - pics never do the color justice, but with the naked eye it's really more brown than anything. Not as gold as a camera makes it look.Originally Posted by m1ajunkie
Congrats!
Very nice purchase. I'd happily take the blems for the price you paid.
Dress it up and get us a range report and more pics - for us junkies.
Have fun

Yes, I know what a thumbnail is. I didn't take the time to do it.
