Very nice looking rig. I love the Elcan.
Aimpoint M4 on the 16. I'm saving magnification for my 17.

101 Airborne,
Did you go with the Larue mount 659 NV? The medium mount and not the high mount?
I just ordered my Larue mount...waiting to pick up the Aimpoint Compm4s in person.
Just figuring if you can co-witness (1/3 or not) with the Larue mount.
BTW-Nice pics![]()
I have a medium for a couple of reasons... Absolute co-witness and I want to get a PVS-14 one of these days! Aimpoint and Larue are a great combo!

At the risk of being laughed at I recently purchased a 7.62 SCAR and put a NcStar Mark III Tactical Series with a DDAB LED Red Dot that fits over the 34mm end of the scope.
Its is a 3x-9x by 42 scope and the reticle is lit in either Green or Red. Though the price tag was humble compared to some of the scopes that are being discussed on this blog, I have to say that it has performed well beyond my expectations! I zeroed the rifle at 100 yards and began seeing how far I could reach out. The NCStar performed very well all the way out to our max range of 600 yards.
The LED Red Dot is a nice addition, small which is good, but really not that great beyond about 60 to 75 yards. For CQB it will work great, but its no replacement for a good Holograph. I'll have to seem how well it holds up and if the company supports its product. But for easy to use right out of the box this little scope is a bargain! Paid less than $200.00 at the Gun Show 2 weeks ago.
Gull,
Realizing this is an old post and your situation was positively rectified, I was curious as to what your observations of this scope were at this point. Just found the 1.5x6 for $1200 with the help of someone on this site and am teetering on the fence about the purchase. I have a ACOG TA01 NSN that I thought about putting on my 16S, but didn't want to sacrifice the CQB ability. New to the site and apologize in advance if this has been covered somewhere else.
Thanks!
Just got a XPS3-0, just so happens to work great with a Aimpoint 3x magnifier in Larue swivel mount. The dot is crisp and clear, unlike the comet looking object I see when I use the magnifier in conjunction with a Aimpoint T-1...
