    SCAR Optic.....

OK guys I decided to go with a Zeiss Z-Point for my SCAR and it may even find it's way to my ACR as most of my trigger work is around 50 yards. Now the interesting part, I called http://www.red-dot-scopes.com/ and spoke to Alex real nice fellow BTW and easy to work with but, he did not have the unit in stock but could get it to me quicker by drop shipping it from the supplier if it was cool with me. "Get it to me as fast as you can" was my reply! So the scope was supposed to ship last Friday but I never got a tracking number so I called Alex and he checked on it for me bright and early Monday. Alex called me back an hour ago and the short version is he is overnighting me my scope so I can have it for a Friday shoot!!! "Now that's customer service" Thanks Alex! All because I wanted my scope in time for a shoot this Friday with a buddy, so if anyone out there whats a Red-Dot scope at a smokin price and fanatical customer service drop Alex a line at http://www.red-dot-scopes.com/, and BTW, "NO I don't work for them" nor am I getting anything out of this I am just paying it forward to a company that went out of it's way for me and hopefully helping out brother forum members as well. Now my biggest problem is just trying to decide which gun gets the Z-Point , my ACR or my SCAR? I hope to be giving a range report if the weather holds on the Z-Point Friday evening gents.

It would seem to me magnification is in order, or at least something that toggles from 1x to as much as 6x.

Aimpoint T1, with Larue High Mount

    Rocks!

Rented my Scar along with all my FA guns at the MG shoot in Alabany OR last weekend, and everybody was amazed at how clear it was.

People wouldn't believe me when I told them it was not magnified.

Couple of 16 year old boys were taking out balloons at 200yds offhand like it was nothing.

Does anyone know or have a Trijicon Acog Compact with a DR. Optic Red Dot mounted on top? I tried the Larue Tactical Acog Compact Mount LT635 it does not fit on my Acog compact... it hangs over the rear eye piece by about a half inch.. I was looking for a mount to attach my DR. red dot to my Agoc Compact. Please let me know if anyone has any experience with this setup. I will be putting it on my Scar. Thanks in Advance!

    ACOG SCOPE - SCAR

I chose the ACOG TA31 ECOS.

It is the one that was made with the SCAR in mind, so that's what I chose.

It, however, has settings past 600yds for the SAW M249. Iron sights for bad conditions and a Doctor Red Dot scope on top for close up.
    Also a special mount.
    It is 4x.

This scope has things, obviously, that I will never use but it is what I wanted. It is what I got ! I also added a KILLFLASH to it.

I am including a picture of it. Double click to enlarge.
I've shown it elsewhere on this board but -

I am using a Trijicon Reflex RX06-11. Gives me nice sight picture and cheek weld along with an absolute cowitness with the BUIS. The 12 MOA triangle really stands out during the day and it never needs batteries. I find the apex of the triangle makes a great precision aiming point. I am not a big fan of magnification on combat optics.

If you don't mind, can you post pics of your setup? Thanks.

Anything you don't like about that ACOG? It sure looks sweet on a SCAR. I've got a chance to get a used one for $1200. Is that a good deal? Sure would appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
