Hello all.
A fella on M4carbine.net has been making some interesting videos that show things like recoil and buffer tests for AR15s.
I've contacted him by PM and he says he'd be happy to make a recoil video with the SCAR for comparison to other carbines.
Here's a couple of links to read some of his posts. He does a bunch of stuff I find interesting like testing heat signatures and center of gravity stuff. Just search for his name there and look through his posts if you're interested.

If you live near Tucson, AZ and would like to let this fella use your SCAR to make a video for comparison please pm him at M4carbine.net. If you don't go there you can pm me here and I'll get him your info.
Thank You

Tucson is only an hour and a half away. I don't have a SCAR myself, but if anyone has a loaner....![]()
She remembered how 'I managed to get him on one occasion, when I was depressed by the news of one German victory after another and the resultant intolerable arrogance and gloating of the people of Berlin. "What will happen, Herr Professor?", I asked anxiously. Einstein looked at me, raised his fist, and replied: "This will govern!" '

Well, I guess I meet the criteria. It sure looks like cool stuff but I'm not to keen on opening my safe to a stranger.
I suppose there's a way to do it safely.
Do you know the guy at all?
Joshua,
Thanks for the link.![]()
That guy has some wits about him. Did anybody else notice the amount of linear movement in the bolt carrier? Some greater than others, and of course that can't be a good thing either.![]()

I'm curious if it was just a chunk of carbon build up in the brake that got blown out maybe?

That would be one funny shaped piece of carbon, it is bent.
The item comes out of the brake after the bullet has left and a "puff" of lighter colored smoke comes out.

Yeah, I haven't a clue as to what it was.
I was kind of surprised at the muzzle rise in the Ruger SR556 compared to the DI guns.
I'd really like to see how the SCAR compares to them.
