Finally got some glass on my SCAR and took her for a spin again.

    50 yards, outdoors, 4x
    Prvi Partizan 69gr Match

    100 yards, outdoors, 4x
    Prvi Partizan 69gr Match

I feel a little better now. Still room for improvement.

Put a magnified optic on my scar for the first time.

    Leupold VX-II 3-9x40
LaRue LT104 reversed (fits forward but finger barely bumps release lever when charging so I reversed it)
    SCAR 16s
    IMI M193C - lot 237K (I think, 09 headstamp)
    100yds
Sandbag in the front, shoulder in the rear, seated

Bottom left was sighting in, upper left was 15 rounds taking a breath between each shot about halfway through the session. Right targets were about 1 round/second for a few mags worth.

Upper left was exactly 3" center-to-center for the widest spread. Nothing to write home about, but not terrible either. I definitely shoot much better groups with the optic only at 4x-5x instead of 9x.

Bottom right made enough smoke that I got a good laugh out of the guy next to me. I had a smile the whole time, 10 mags worth. =P

Okay, this one was much better. Been practicing.

    SCAR 16s w/ bipod, seated
    100yds
    IMI M193 55gr ammunition

    10 shots.
Including the flyer, it's 3.5" extreme spread.
Without the flyer (which I knew I flinched on) it's 1.65" extreme spread.

Finally got to bring out my new optic, unfortunately it wasn't the best day to shoot:

Scar 16s /w crappy grip pod, seated
Optic - Trijicon Accupoint TR24-R 1-4x : This group was shot at 2x magnification
50 yards - 15mph right to left wind
    IMI M885 62gr ammunition

Overall I was extremely happy with the results. Without a proper sled to hold the rifle and actually zero the optic (first time bringing it out) and with the amount of wind, I didn't feel the need to adjust too much. I contribute most of the high left hits to that. Fired mostly in 3-shot groups. Can't wait for a nicer day and some match ammo to really see what this optic can do!

How can one have a crappy grip-pod? Mine has served me incredibly well!

Excuse my ignorance but what do you mean by match ammo? Thanks!

Match ammo is loaded to tighter specifications, so it is more consistent. It is also considerably more expensive.

well this was my first time shooting a SCAR got a chance to zero my Irons, I cannot believe how smooth the SCAR shoots I am in LOVE! heres my 25M zero indoor with 55gr softtip ultramax (i cant shoot fmj at this range) for cheap bulk ammo it seems rather consistant.

I know my POI should be 1" low from POA this weapon is getting a SWFA 1-4 on it so the BUIS will most likely never be used. after zeoring I followed up with the remaining 20 rounds trying to cut out the center
if the weather shapes up ill be going to a 100yd range next weekend

Anyone try any Hornady Superformance in there 16S? Supposed to be around 200fps more over regular 223.
