I am investigating a couple of rifles, one being the SCAR 16. I was at my favorite gun shop and they quoted me a price, but I don't know how it compares. A friend wants one bad, and to be honest, now I have the bug as well and am thinking of getting a new rifle as well.
I am wondering what prices you all see for these rifles. I am too new to the product line to know what the prices are running for. If it is against rules to show prices can someone send me a personal message (PM)?
I remember reading the GunBlast review of the SCAR and at the end he said "you never regret buying the best."
I've seen from 2000 -2600 private seller and dealer. I was hesitant at first but ended up pulling the trigger on the purchase. I had a Rock River and a Del-Ton at the time both of which I built from stripped lowers. I loved those two rifles but after getting the FN I sold both and grabbed good optics and more ammo for the scar.
Im starting to feel the Scar 17 fever too but can't swing it till after my wedding.
Just buy the thing. You will pick it up and immediately realize that its about a pound lighter than most ARs 500 rounds later you won't want anything else.

SCAR 16s.
It seems like the longer we wait, the more expensive they get with MSRP increases. By what I've seen online, $2200-2400 seems to be the general range of the lower priced retailers currently. Used, I've seen them go for $2000 and slightly less. There was a groupbuy a few months back which kicked it down to sub-$2000 new but that's all done.
I just got back from the Columbus Oh gun show. I saw 2 16s blk and 1 17fde. The 2 16s were marked $2350 and the 17 was marked $2650 which I didn't find too high, but I would have to pay tax so it was a deal killer. I didn't ask if he would come down, but I imagine He would drop at least $100. They also had a couple tactical PS90s $1299 and an FS2000 for $1650(forget which model). They were all new and being offered by a certified FNH dealer. I also saw a guy who had 20 ps90 mags and was asking $60![]()

Thanks for the info.
Just bought a Browning Hi Power, 9mm, adjustable rear sights. Very pretty gun. I have always wanted one. Not as popular as it used to be because all of the "youngins" want something made of polymer.![]()
Own 2 hi powers myself, sweeeeet shooting guns, they get a good bit of range time from me.
