Finally got my weapon back from FNH and they were gracious enough not to charge me for the hassle. I still have no idea how they managed to re-install a new c clip however i wont complain as im quite convinced that's not the only bit of magic that goes on at the Browning service center. So just as a word of advice gentlemen treat your FN rifles like a soldier, know about as little as is necessary to clean an maintain the weapon and don't go above and beyond what the SGT says .

Its quite easily actually. just buy yourself a roll pin holder

While holding bottom of Extractor Pin in place with 1/8” Punch place Retaining Pin use 2S Roll Pin Holder, 5/64” to snapRetaining Ring onto extractor pin. When snapping in place, start by first applying pressure from bottom of retaining ring
