Another little birdie told me between $450 and $650 depending on caliber and length. Don't have a fit if the numbers don't turn out to be correct. They will also be subcontracted - meaning FN will just put their stamp on it.
Noveske should get their head out of the AR sand and beat their price point by $100.00 with a better product.

TH- with all due respect- you are wrong about the out sourcing. These will be FN made barrels- and your prices are a little off.... not sure who your little birdie is, but I talk to them direct several times a week. I am not able to talk about prices at this point but I can tell you that they are FN and not some outsourced crap with an FN stamp.
You may be correct. It's all speculation at this point. If you have better intel - then that's what it will be. These are not 'my' prices per se - as I just parrot what I'm told. As for outsourcing - it all depends on how each subdivision of Herstal does their books. At Colt, many lowers and uppers are simply outsourced. You get the pony on the lower - but it may have been made by FN or ADCOR or Bush .. they will never tell you.
I know that FN sources hard chromed barrels to ADCOR so they may use the same manufacturing facility to procure the US made SCAR barrels. Whatever that 'manufacturing facility' may be
In the end - it really does not matter where they come from - as long as they will be available. Mid 2012 is the rumor - I'm not holding my breath. It took FNH 3 years to build their web store - something that would take 2 weeks for one web developer to do.
While their engineering team is full speed, their corporate seems to lag behind executing on their product lines. Sure seems that the civilian division ran much smoother when Rick DeMilt was in charge.
At any rate - thanks for the info. Hope the prices are on the lower end of the undisclosed spectrum rather than the upper. PM me if you want to exchange further info.
Cheers,

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, its learning how to dance in the rain.

You see in this world there's two kinds of people my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig?
I saw dealer pricing today at $710 for the barrels so figure from there what they will go out the door for. Then it's all about the options to get everything licensed.
Any news on this? I've been searching around for a while, a vendor on barfcom a while back posted he was taking preorders but it turned out to be nothing, just trying to decide if I should keep waiting or just go ahead and buy another gun to get chopped?
