Since I got into the habit with my Glock, I don't use any manual safety's on my AR-15s AK-47s or my FNSCAR. I just keep my finger off the triggers until I am ready to fire them.

Do you have the factory pistol grip on???
If you changed the grip, the screw holding it on may be coming in contact with the safety, adding resistance. Just loosen the screw and see if that allows you to move it freely. If it does, you'll need to grind the screw down a bit.11:00 P.M. EST Nov 4th, 2008, My nightmare came true...

I have only done the basic level of takedown and reassembly but with this feedback I'm going to look at things much closer to see what might be interfering.
