Hello! There are a few threads on here about reversing the left and right safety selectors on the SCAR and some about how to install the Magpul one. But it seems that there has been no talk about if there is a longer lever available. The only thing I don't like about my SCAR versus a standard AR is that I can much more easily manipulate the selector from Fire back to safe without altering my grip than I can with the SCAR. From the reviews I have read about the Magpul part it is not any longer than the stock selector. Is this correct and if it is, does anyone know how to get a longer selector for the SCAR?
Thanks Guys!
The only aftermarket selector currently available for the SCAR is the Magpul version and it is a little longer than the standard stock selector. I have them on both my 16s and 17s and they work great.

I treat both my ARs and my SCAR like they were Glocks, just leave them ready to shoot with finger off the triggers.
As has already been mentioned, the Magpul SSG set is a great add on. I tried switching the long a short around, thinking I would like it. (I'm R handed and thought about putting the long selector on the 3 o'clock side of the weapon sort of like a pistol index finger safety.) I didn't like that so I just mounted them how they should be - long on the 9 o'clock and shorter on the 3.![]()

Has anyone else had difficulty in moving the safety from fire to safe? On my SCAR manipulating the lever is the hardest of any weapon that I've ever owned. Safe to Fire is hard enough but doable. It is usually too hard to put on safe with my thumb and requires me to bring my weak hand to the receiver.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Never had an issue with the MagPul selector indexing from safe to semi but I did have installation issues with a brand new set that didn't fit right. Some how the mold I think was jacked up beacuse the safety screw pin would not seat correctly with the new selector but worked fine with the factory FN one so I exchanged it for a new set and the new set works fine. Check your fire control group something has to be binding in there because thats not normal.
