The T-1/H-1 takes a little bit to get used to with the smaller diameter tube and all that but once it clicks with you its great. I wouldn't return it right away if I were you. I suggest taking the optic outside, doesn't even have to be at the range (my want to detach it first to avoid terrifying the neighbors), and look at things with it. These red dot optics have a funny way of looking all messed up when you unpackage them in your house and examine them. Be sure to use it the way it was designed and focus on a "target" not the dot/optic itself and then make your decision if its not right for you.
