I just installed the sight and when I look through it I often see red reflection on the top left. When there's a strong light coming from my back, the red reflection gets even worst. Sometimes I see the reflection of the tree rectangle pieces that produce red dot as well. Not to mention that I don't really see a full circle because the silluate of the red dot module is always there on the left bottom corner.
I had the M3 on my FS2000 before and i dont remember seeing any of this. Anyone runing an Aimpoint micro has this problem, or you just live with it?
Thanks

The red reflection in the upper left is normal, its even more pronounced as you noted with a bright light behind you. The other stuff you mentioned I have not noticed (or may have but wasn't significant enough to register). Once you get it outside and start focusing on targets instead of the details inside the tube, you won't even notice.
The tube length and diameter of the M3 help alliviate these "issues" which is probably why you didn't encounter them with the larger optic

All I've looked though for the last few weeks was my new nightforce scope, and when I went back to my T-1, I was shocked. Was it like that before? Reflection at top, undefined dot? These were my thoughts.... But after getting used to it again for a few days, I didn't notice anymore. I think changing from one scope to the micro exacerbates the micro issues. Indoor overhead lighting seems to cause the reflection more. Outside doesn't seem to be as much an issue. Just take some time, and you'll love it.
I don't notice this but, I run my RDS units as far out on the fore-end as possible without them interfering with my support hand.

Thanks, guys. At least I know I'm not (that)crazy and seeing things..
Photography is my other passion. I just can't believe this $650 piece of optics with a very simple two lens elements having such a serious reflection problem. You don't even see this on a $250, lowly, kit lens! Shoot, none of a $30 point and shoot camera has this problem!!!
Ok.. I'm stepping down from my soap box now...![]()
I've switched over to Aimpoint M3 from a EOTech on my SCAR16 a few months ago, just picked up a Micro T1 and I can see what your saying
I don't see it in my M3, but I do see what you are saying in the T1, a rather faint red huge in the upper portion of the sight. Like Cam, once I am outside and shooting I don't even notice it anymore.

I had the same issue, and I did not like the smaller tube on the Micro. I thought it was just my eyes.
I still like the original Aimpoints better -- more weight, but I like the larger lenses and tube better....

I hope I don't see this ghosting effect when I go out and shoot like many of you said.
It got so many things going for it, and I really want to like it. I can't return it now, since I mounted it and I don't wanna sell it at a huge lost as a used one either..
Clyde,
I thought about going back to M3 too, but as I said, I don't think they will take it back now, since I bought it online from DSG arms. I have never seen it, touched it, nor played with it before. I bought it because of a good experience I had with the M3 but want something smaller among other things..
My dealer took my Micro H-1 back even though I had mounted it. I just put everything back in the box and brought it back, and offered to pull the battery. They said it was okay with it in. You may want to check -- if the unit is still as new, they may work with you.
I returned the H-1 and bought a Trijicon Accupoint TR-24G 1-4x24 and Bobro mount instead....
The H-1 is a great MRDS and many people swear by them, but I thought it was just too small for my use, and the reflection distracted me - I could not make it go away and it bugged me, so I switched it out....
