    Welcome to FNForum.

A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.

Just put your $2500 rifle in a box and blindly ship it out. Call me crazy, but that's not good service.
Did you actually check for barrel cant? 3" at 10yds should be obvious, and the problem "should" be fixable at home.

This is a post showing bad barrel cant:

Gos, my barrel is not canted like the pictures show in the thread you linked. Everything looks good to the naked eye. So, I don't know what is going on with the darn rifle. In any case, it is already on the road headed back to the FNH Service Department. I'll be interested to see what they actually do and/or discover.

    cheers,

I currently own 3 AR-15 rifles and none of them required more than a few clicks to zero the iron sights.

BTW, does anyone know the specification against which they will be measuring?

Thank you for the clarification on the RS orientation.

No, they will and do realize that the sighting system needs to remain with a set range of over-travel.

Trust me on this and if the barrel needs replacing, BRC will do it. If they see something they can adjust and correct, they will.

    The specifications are trade secrets.

Time for an update, so here's a recap of how it all went down. I shipped the rifle back to FNH and they received it on February 13. On February 23 they determined that my rifle required replacement (good call SgtStrykerUSMC43). Then, the wait really started because they, too, had to wait until my new rifle was shipped to them. They shipped it back directly to me and it arrived on March 19. So, in the end, it cost me $34 and 5-weeks to go through the process. It was a long wait and I'm pleased they replaced the complete rifle (bad karma).

Now, back to present day, I have not been able to shoot the new rifle yet. However, using the same laser bore sight that confirmed my original problem, the new rifle is dead on (windage) at 15 yards. The old rifle was off by 3" at the same distance. So, I pretty sure my issues have been resolved.

    Cheers,
    marlboro

good to know everything worked out for ya bro. Anyways, Mine was also sent back ( 2/14/12) and it required replacement . I should have it be4 the end of month . I have a question for you, Did FNH ship you a new gun with a new serial number or they reuse the old serial number on the replacement gun ? Doesn't it need to be DROSed if a new serial number is used . please let me know . thank you.
