Two weeks ago I purchased my first SCAR 16s. I've been wanting one since they first appeared, but I somehow managed to avoid the temptation, until now. I really like everything about the rifle, but today was my first range trip and it did NOT go well at all. To make a long-story short with the rear sight at mechanical zero (elevation set on 3) I had to crank the front sight to the "bullet left" stop in order to zero the rifle at 25m. That can't be normal can it? I could understand a few clicks either way, but having to go all the way to the stop seems way extreme to me.
I'm pretty sure I need to send my rifle back to FN, but I wanted to get your feedback first. If you agree, is there anyone in particular I should contact at FN? I had a similar experience about 8 years ago with a new Marlin 30-30. It came back from service with a shot up target (with some awesome groups) and a note saying the barrel was replaced.

If the rear sight is set in the center of its adjustment range, then a call is in order to FNH USA's repair department in Arnold, MO. Explain the issue and they will guide you from there.

would seem a little strange to me, to have to go to any extreme, on ANY of the sights. When I sighted mine in at 100M, i only had to adjust from the factory zero about 3 or 4 clicks down, and a couple to the right. However, Im shooting a 17s, not a 16, so the different flight paths could cause some more variance. however, I doubt that would have much different impact, especially to have to cause you to adjust all the way to one end...
A call to FN couldn't hurt. Might be a simple fix, or something you overlooked
Check if your barrel is canted.
Aside from that, I guess a call to FNH is in order.
For what it's worth, mine took 3 clicks to get the windage.

I wonder if the OP has an in/lb. torque wrench.

As others said, probably a barrel torque thing which is relatively easy to address.
That being said, if you are doing POA=POI zero at 25m, my table shows the crossover around 428m. A matched (dial=4) 400m zero would put you 0.3" low at 25m, if you're calibrating the elevation knob. A 500m setting (5) on the elevation knob should put you ~0.85" high at 25m.
I have not idea how the FNSCARS Iron sights work or don't work, I stuck my ACOG on mine shot a quick 5rd group, made a small windage adjustment. And started getting good for me groups. So I am happy with my SCAR.
